To celebrate our 50th anniversary, we're holding a writing competition for children!
Have a read of the rules below, and then send us your entry using the form below. The closing deadline is 31st May 2024.
Write a story of no more than 1000 words, on the theme of:
Journey
The winner will receive a £100 voucher for the bookshop, a selection of books for their school, and a report on the their winning entry.
The two runners up will receive a £40 voucher for the shop and a report on their entry.
The winner will be announced on 22nd June 2024.
Rules
1. Entrants must be aged 8-15.
2. Entries must be submitted with the consent of an adult.
3. Single entrants only (you can't submit with a friend!)
4. Entries must be typed in and submitted in a word/pdf file via the entry form below.
4. Entrants must be from the UK.
5. By submitting entries you allow The Children's Bookshop to feature you in content related to the competition or our 50th anniversary.
6. Entries must be (primarily!) in English.
7. Entries must be submitted by 31st May 2024.
