DELIVERY, RETURNS, AND PRIVACY POLICIES

SALES CONTRACTS AND CONSUMER RIGHTS

​

After you have placed an order, we will send you an email to acknowledge your order. We will then send you a secondary email once the books have been dispatched.

​

RETURNS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

​

Customers have the rights to a "cooling off period" in which they may cancel their order. This begins once the order has been placed and ends 14 days from when the books have been received by customer. Customers most notify the Children's Bookshop within this 14 day period, and then return the books within another 14 day period.

​

Please contact the Children's Bookshop by phone on 02084445500, or email the bookshop at admin@childrensbookshoplondon.co.uk if you wish to cancel your purchase. The sooner you do this the better.

​

Customers will need to provide proof of purchase or a receipt, and books must be returned in their original condition.

​

Customers are responsible for the shipping costs of goods being returned.

​

29 Fortis Green Road, Muswell Hill, N10 3HP. Books must be returned within 14 days of cancelling the sales contract.

​

The Children's Bookshop is not responsible for returned items which fail to be delivered.

​

We cannot accept items for return or exchange after 30 days after purchase.

EXCHANGES

​

If the customer would like to exchange a book we have sent you as part of our Book Bundles or Subscription Services, please contact the bookshop by phone or email within 14 days of receiving the books.  The customer can swap the book in the shop for free, or can return a book (at the customer's cost) and we will send out a replacement free of charge.

DELIVERY

​

Delivery times are based on Royal Mail estimates and cannot be and are not guaranteed. Delivery time for Royal Mail 2nd Class aims for 3 day delivery. Please get in touch if you would like something sent First Class.

The Children's Bookshop is not liable for any delays caused by events outside of our control - a Force Majeure Event. This includes natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, strikes, lock-outs, civil commotion, change in government legislation, etc.

PRIVACY POLICY

​

The Children's Bookshop complies with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 with regards to customer data protection and privacy.

 

We will only collect personal data that is required for processing customer orders. This information will only be shared with our staff, payment service providers, and law enforcement or other regulatory bodies when required to.

 

We will aim to only keep your information as long as necessary in order to process your purchase.
